  • LNG (liquefied natural gas): Natural gas cooled to -162°C, at which point it turns into a liquid.
  • Natural gas line: Pipe system used to safely transport natural gas over great distances.
  • BCF/d: Billion cubic feet per day. (used to measure the volume capacity of pipeline or the rate of natural gas flowing through pipelines)
  • MT: Million tonnes (used to measure world LNG trade volumes).
  • MTPA: Million tonnes per annum (used to measure LNG production).
  • MMBtu: Million British Thermal Units (Btu) - A Btu is a measure of the energy content in fuel
